TIG Welder

Pay: $16.00/hr to start

Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift

Location: Fort Smith, AR

Penmac Staffing is hiring an experienced TIG Welder for an established metal fabrication shop in Fort Smith, AR. You’ll work in the company’s machine and welding shop on stainless steel, with overtime available and pay that grows with your performance.

Requirements for the TIG Welder

• Experience TIG welding stainless steel
• Able to pass an onsite skills test with our client
• Stable work history, and willing to discuss any gaps in employment
• Good attendance
• Comfortable working in a shop that is not temperature-controlled
• Willing to travel occasionally, depending on work needs

TIG Welder Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery correctly and safely, using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Spot faulty equipment through observation and testing
• Source replacement parts and make repairs
• Work with the facility manager to keep the production process and system software up to date
• Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and reduce downtime
• Safely use power tools, hoists, and hand tools
