Job Overview:

Let the Journey begin! We are currently seeking to fill positions for TIG Welders on** 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift**. In this role, you will operate welding equipment to join various metals and alloys using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. You will collaborate with our engineering and fabrication teams to ensure the production of high-quality and precision welds to repair castings, dies, molds, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment per weld procedures and customer specifications.

This position is 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift but training will be on 1st Shift (6am – 2pm) for the first 3-6 months.

What will you do in this role?

  • Perform TIG welding on various metals and alloys according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Operate GTAW welding equipment, hand tools (air gun, stones, burrs), argon chills, stainless steel brushes, degreaser, clamps, and fixtures.
  • Set up and maintain welding equipment, including cleaning and repairing as necessary, monitoring argon purity, and fixing/building argon backups.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet industry and company standards for quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and fabricators to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of welding activities.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience as a TIG Welder; Welding Vocational Training or Certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques and processes.
  • Proficient in manual Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) with remote foot control.
  • Experience in routing out casting defects and blending welds preferred.
  • Proficiency in gauges and measuring skills required and knowledge of different metals and alloys used in welding applications.
