As the TIG Welder, you will lay out, fit, and weld various parts and subassemblies to create stainless steel drain components or products. Under the guidance of the Welder A, you can calculate precise tolerances for high-quality machine work and have a keen eye for detail.
You Will:
Weld subassemblies and components using GTAW (with and without filler metal) to precise specifications.
Lay out parts and subassemblies based on specifications.
Inspect all welds for accuracy, making necessary repairs to ensure quality.
Clean and inspect welding equipment to maintain functionality and report any needed repairs.
Use fit-up fixtures for welding operations.
Follow standard operating procedures, adhere to safety protocols, and report any safety issues to the appropriate individuals.
You Have:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year of experience in GTAW welding.
The ability to read a tape measure and perform precise mathematical calculations and measurements for cutting.
The skill to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, diagrams, and printed instructions.
Familiarity with various welding concepts, practices, and procedures.
Strong oral communication skills.
A commitment to applying standard procedures and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
