Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our fabrication team. The TIG Welder will be responsible for welding metal components with precision and high-quality standards, primarily using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols

  • Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and fitting components prior to welding

  • Set up and operate TIG welding equipment and tools

  • Inspect welded joints to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specifications

  • Perform minor grinding, finishing, and polishing as required

  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper operation

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder or similar role

  • Proficiency in TIG welding techniques

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications

  • Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and practices

  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)

  • Experience welding thin-gauge metals

  • Familiarity with additional welding processes (MIG, Stick)

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Manual dexterity and good vision

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing or fabrication shop environment

  • Exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required

  • Troubleshooting Skills
  • Blueprint Reading
