Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire a Textile Operator I to join our Carbon Brake team working onsite in Spokane WA. We create and ship out new carbon for aviation braking systems.

You will learn the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in textile production processes.

You will have the opportunity to be trained to use Preform Lectra System, Forklifts, Scissor Lifts and power tools.

Shift: Our Operators love our 4 days on - 4 off schedule, 6:00am - 6:00pm, rotating between day/night shift every 6 weeks.

+$2.25/hr shift differential paid on both day and night shifts.

The salary range for this role is $34,902.40 to $47,216 with an additional 16 hours/month in average of built-in overtime; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

What YOU will LEARN: Complete Training Provided

  • You will become proficient in the set-up and operation of all Textile manufacturing and test equipment.
  • You will learn and perform all in-process Quality checks, this includes statistical process control, Areal Weight, Mahlo, VMS, gamma gauge, etc.
  • You will learn and perform Equipment Preventative Maintenance.
  • Operate support equipment such as: Preform Lectra Autocutter System, Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, Power Tools, etc.
  • You will load and unload Needle Boards per recipes and needle rotation requirements.
  • You will learn the environment control system and know the requirements.
  • You will observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
  • You will adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures.
  • You will learn and assist with data entry requirements and process documentation.
  • You will complete department training program in the time allotted.
  • You will meet the target productivity levels established for the department.
  • You will complete tasks as assigned by your management team.
  • You will assist other departments as necessary with approval from your management team.
  • You will participate in Continuous Improvement and ACE activities.
  • You will maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • You will comply with all other company policies and procedures

Training will be provided for:

  • Big Joe
  • Riveters both manual and automated
  • Scales, calipers, micrometers
  • Bar Code Scanning Equipment
  • Various tools (mixes, hotplates, etc.)
  • Automated Oxidation coating station
  • Oxidation bake out Ovens.
  • Power and pneumatic equipment.

Required Qualifications you must have - Education & Experience:

  • HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
  • You must have the ability to work 4 days on/4 days off – 12-hour shifts, rotating days to nights every 6 weeks.
