**Job Title: **Test Technician I

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Work Location: Gulf Breeze, FL 32563 (Onsite)

Schedule: 9/80 Schedule | 1st Shift | 6:00 AM Start

**Position Overview

**

We are seeking a Test Technician to perform testing, inspection, assembly, and troubleshooting activities on products, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.

**Two areas of focus are available:

**

  • Repair & Service: Support the repair and service of products by testing and troubleshooting customer-returned units. Basic mechanical skills are required. Experience working with electronics and/or aerospace products is preferred.
  • Optics Assembly & Test: Support optics assembly and testing activities. Basic mechanical skills and strong attention to detail are required. Experience with electronics assembly or testing is a plus.

**Responsibilities

**

  • Perform various tests and inspections on products, equipment, or systems according to established procedures and standards.
  • Set up and calibrate test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Record test data, observations, and results accurately and promptly.
  • Identify and document defects, malfunctions, or deviations from specifications.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with corrective actions.
  • Test and troubleshoot returned or repaired units as required.
  • Support assembly and testing activities while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to analyse test results and implement necessary adjustments or improvements.
  • Maintain and update test equipment, tools, and fixtures as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Participate in improving test procedures and processes.
  • Adhere to quality control standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

**Requirements

**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Test Technician or in a similar technical role preferred.
  • Basic mechanical skills and hands-on technical aptitude.
  • Experience with electronics, electronics assembly, testing, or troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Aerospace industry experience is preferred for certain assignments.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for data recording and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Ability to work onsite and follow established safety and quality procedures.
