Job Description

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an advanced technology organization, is seeking a skilled Electronics Test Technician. This role is responsible for conducting hardware validation and reliability testing, operating automated test systems, and supporting the setup and calibration of environmental test equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on electronics testing experience, troubleshooting expertise, and a solid understanding of product development and validation processes.

Job Duties

• Operate software user interfaces to execute hardware validation and reliability test procedures
• Configure, calibrate, and maintain thermal chambers, vibration chambers, and associated test equipment
• Validate system functionality using oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, and power analyzers
• Troubleshoot and root cause failures related to devices under test (DUTs), test fixtures, harnesses, and test equipment
• Document test execution, failure analysis findings, and corrective actions
• Perform circuit board modifications including soldering, de-soldering, component replacement, and rework
• Support commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting of new automated test systems
• Review schematics, drawings, and technical documentation to support testing and debugging activities

Skills & Experience

Required

• Technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 5+ years of experience supporting automated test equipment (ATE), electronics testing, or industrial automation systems
• Experience operating and troubleshooting environmental test chambers including thermal and vibration chambers
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical datasheets
• Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power analyzers, and laboratory power supplies
• Hands-on soldering, de-soldering, PCB rework, and electronic component replacement experience
• Understanding of hardware development validation processes including EVT, DVT, and PVT phases
• Experience documenting test results, test procedures, and failure investigations
• Knowledge of digital electronic components and the ability to explain basic circuit functionality from schematics
• Ability to calculate and interpret ramp rates, control profiles, and environmental test timing requirements
• Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• Ability to lift and move test equipment and instrumentation as needed

Desired

• Experience supporting automotive, transportation, embedded systems, or industrial electronics programs
• Experience validating testers and automated production test systems
• Familiarity with chamber and chiller integration, setup, and operation
• Experience building, modifying, or maintaining custom test fixtures and harnesses
• Understanding of manufacturing test processes and reliability qualification testing
• Experience supporting first article builds and engineering validation activities
• Familiarity with low-voltage electronic control units (ECUs) and embedded hardware platforms
• Experience troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems
