Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our team in Clairton, PA. This role supports mechanical and environmental testing operations within an industrial laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience working with industrial equipment, testing systems, or manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and execute mechanical and environmental testing programs including vibration, shock, and durability testing.
  • Operate laboratory testing equipment and computer-based monitoring systems.
  • Perform basic mechanical and low-voltage electrical troubleshooting during test operations.
  • Read and follow technical procedures, specifications, and testing requirements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to prepare test setups.
  • Document test activities, observations, and results accurately.
  • Support calibration, maintenance, and organization of laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with moving, rigging, and positioning test equipment and materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support successful testing activities.
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, testing, or related technical environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working with industrial machinery, instrumentation, or testing equipment.
  • Ability to read technical procedures and drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with vibration testing, environmental testing, forklifts, cranes, or rigging equipment is a plus.
