Lockheed Martin is seeking an F35 Integrated Systems Test Engineering Manager for a position within the F-35 Production Engineering organization.

What You Will Be Doing

Manufacturing Test Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform’s program lifecycle. The Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE) discipline is responsible for verification of the integrity of the aircraft build from subassembly to delivery operations. MTE provides the test equipment, the test procedures, and the on-floor test support needed to ensure functional compliance of every aircraft throughout the build-cycle
As the F35 Integrated Systems Test Engineering Manager, you will lead the Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE) team responsible for validating F-35 onboard aircraft systems to engineering requirements at the Fort Worth factory. In addition, this position will provide technical support to the Italy & Japan Final Assembly Check Out (FACOs) and the Production Engineering Enterprise as needed.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing:
• Development & maintenance of System Checkout Procedures (SCOP) and test processes
• Test equipment design, development, calibration, maintenance and repair
• Test preparation, performance and post-test operations in support of daily production/delivery operations requirements
• Continuous process improvement and providing technical support for root cause & corrective action
• Supporting MTE Digital Transformation (DX) initiatives
Leadership duties include:
• Provide technical leadership and collaboration across F-35 and Aero Enterprise MTE teams, shaping the future direction of the Aero MTE role.
• Participate in and support customer, program, and leadership reviews.
• Ensure that all personnel and hardware safety standards .
• Coordinate with external organizations to balance requests for non-production support.
• Oversee staffing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and career development for the MTE team.
• Continuously improve processes through feedback loops, performance metrics, and iterative refinements that enhance efficiency and quality.
• Identify emerging issues early by analyzing trend data and setting predictive alerts, allowing corrective action before impacts occur.
• Partner with customers to understand future requirements and translate those insights into actionable operational roadmaps.
• Champion a safety‑first culture by integrating a safety-first mindset into everything we do.

This is a 100% on-site position.

Basic Qualifications

• People-centered coaching, mentoring and talent development experience including strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
• First-hand experience with 5th generation aircraft
• Ability to drive large, complex work portfolios to ensure system test needs are met throughout the F-35 factory
• Demonstrated ability for proactive workload oversight with early‑issue detection and resource optimization
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Desired skills

• Ability to leverage key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives, set measurable targets, and track progress against them.
• Adaptive communication, strategic thinking and visioning, data-informed decision making and problem-solving skills
• Experience with agile or lean methodologies and continuous‑improvement frameworks.
• Data literacy and digital fluency to drive 1LMX projects
• Experience with program security controls and cyber security requirements

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $141,300 - $244,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
