Job Description

EBAD seeks a capable individual for the position of Test Engineer, reporting to the Test Engineering Lead. The position is located in Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities:

The Test Engineer provides support for environmental and functional testing of EBAD products, test lab capability growth, and technical problem solving in the following areas:

• Test Process Documentation
• Scope & Cost Estimating
• Program Scheduling
• Requirements Evaluation
• Data Interpretation
• Report Writing

• Test Method Development
• Design & Procurement
• Equipment Selection
• Continuous Improvement
• Troubleshooting
• Training

Requirements:

The candidate shall have an AS/BS in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 2 years’ applicable experience.

Non-degreed candidates will be considered if they have a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in a test lab environment.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Data Acquisition & Software (LabVIEW, Vibration Research)
• Mechanical Design (SolidWorks) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Familiarity with ANSYS Workbench

Preferred Background Knowledge:

• Environmental Testing (Climatics, Dynamics, etc.)
• Instrumentation (Accelerometers, Signal Conditioners, Thermocouples, etc.)
• Explosive Materials and/or Ordnance Devices
