Job Overview:

Job Summary & Essential Functions

Provide test engineering for facility. Support Test Engineering function by providing guidance and support to other test engineers. Troubleshoot test fixtures, software, and procedures.  

  • Perform analysis, diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of products; develop testing procedures and fixtures as required
    1. Develop test procedures, equipment and fixturing design responsibilities
    2. Analyze customer requirements and develop testing procedures
    3. Repair and maintenance of test fixtures
  • Install test software, programming software and repair test PCs
  • Repairing and troubleshooting test PCs
  • Assist Production with test needs and troubleshooting PCA down to the component
  • Work on and set up Engineering VLAN
  • Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
     

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Abilities in schematic capture and electrical design
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Advanced knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits and theory
  • Ability to use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, 4wire LCR meters etc.
  • Intermediate ability to troubleshoot down to the component level for both analog, digital, and embedded circuits/systems.
  • Proficient with Solid Works, AutoCAD and/or other drafting applications
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking technologies, including Ethernet and TCP/IP
  • Intermediate technical writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings 
  • Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware
  • Soldering skills, rework with through hole and SMT components 
  • Ability to build prototypes and wire systems
  • Intermediate level in MS Office applications (Word,Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in all forms with others inside and outside the organization
  • Ability including ability to plan, resolve problems effectively, and establish priorities
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and adapt within a rapidly changing environment
  • Abilities listed in General Requirements for Team Members
     

Required Experience & Education 

  • Associate’s degree in related technical field 
    •  Two years of work experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field 
    • No experience required; two years of relevant work experience preferred 
  • Previous experience with technical writing
  • Previous experience with PC hardware, OS system, and installing and working with test software
