Job Description: Test Engineer (Entry Level)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to join our Gas Lab team. This role is designed for a recent engineering graduate who is eager to grow into a Product Development Engineer position. The Test Engineer will support senior and principal engineers by conducting hands-on testing, preparing detailed reports, and contributing to product development through design and analysis work.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product testing in the gas lab to support senior and principal engineers.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and professional test reports using Word and Excel.
- Design, build, and upgrade test equipment and fixtures; troubleshoot and improve existing fixtures.
- Execute Design of Experiments (DOE) and analyze results using Minitab.
- Perform basic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support product validation.
- Work with Creo and SolidWorks to create models, drawings, and test equipment designs.
- Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in Windchill.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in testing methodologies, equipment, and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline required).
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in product development and testing.
- Hands-on aptitude with the ability to build, modify, and troubleshoot test fixtures.
- Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, and Minitab.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret test data.
- Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis tools and applications.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work independently in a lab environment and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in testing, product development, or manufacturing.
- Experience with DOE and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with Windchill or similar PLM systems.
- Desire to pursue further education or advanced certifications.
