Job Overview:

The Test and Validation Engineer ensures the quality and reliability of SSD, memory, and AI products through targeted manual and automated testing. In addition to developing test plans, executing functional and stress tests, and collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams, this role leverages a strong software engineering background to modernize lab processes using advanced AI agents and automation tools. The engineer continually enhances test coverage and drives innovation by integrating the latest technologies into the validation workflow.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports based on product requirements and industry standards (e.g., JEDEC, OCP, NVMe, PCIe).
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for SSD validation (using Python, Java, and C++).
  • Execute functional, endurance, and stress tests on SSDs to maximize test coverage.
  • Partner with our NAND, FW, SoC, and other validation teams to work issues to swift and effective solutions.
  • Analyze test results, log defects, and track issues through resolution using JIRA.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test coverage capabilities with modern innovative solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging AI, Memory and SSD technologies, protocols, and industry test methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of experience working in SSD, enterprise storage products validation technical environment.
  • Hands-on experience accomplishing system level validation in complex hardware/software environment.
  • Debugging skills across system, firmware and hardware domains.
  • Experience with scripting/programming in python, C or similar languages and understanding product validation methodologies, such as EVT and DVT. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Debugging experience using lab tools such as protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Experience with industry certifications, compatibility testing and qualification processes.
  • Familiarity in collaborating with teams and suppliers to deliver quality products on tights schedules.
  • Familiarity with test automation environments.
  • Good documentation and organization skills and collaborative team player.
