Job Title: Territory Sales Manager – South & Southeast

Position Summary
NCC Automated Systems, an ATS Company, is a leading provider of automation systems, integrated packaging equipment, and custom manufacturing solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to lead business development and account growth throughout the South and Southeast regions of the United States.
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers. This role requires a consultative sales professional with experience selling capital equipment, automation systems, contract manufacturing services, or engineered solutions within manufacturing environments.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business development capabilities, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles from prospecting through project award.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within manufacturing, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, automotive, life sciences, industrial products, and related industries.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and industry trends.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and business development efforts.
- Develop strategic territory and account growth plans aligned with NCC's business objectives.
Customer Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, operations leaders, and procurement teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process.
- Conduct customer visits, facility tours, and technical discussions to understand operational challenges and business needs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong customer satisfaction levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and customer support.
Sales Execution
- Lead opportunities from initial prospecting through proposal development, negotiation, contract award, and project implementation.
- Present NCC's automation, packaging, and manufacturing capabilities to prospective and existing customers.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, operations, and leadership teams to develop customized customer solutions.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations, proposals, and business cases.
- Achieve or exceed established quarterly and annual sales goals.
Territory & Account Management
- Develop and implement territory growth strategies and key account plans.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
- Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for expanded business.
- Represent NCC at trade shows, industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings.
- Maintain strong market awareness and provide customer and competitive feedback to leadership.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity reports.
- Provide regular updates regarding territory performance, pipeline activity, key accounts, and market opportunities.
- Track performance metrics against established goals and objectives.
- Support strategic planning efforts through market intelligence and customer insights.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful B2B sales experience within automation, manufacturing, packaging equipment, material handling, contract manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineered solutions.
- Proven success developing new business opportunities and growing strategic customer accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage long sales cycles and complex customer buying processes.
- Experience selling capital equipment, automation systems, or custom manufacturing solutions preferred.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

- Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
- Ability to attend customer facilities, manufacturing environments, trade shows, and industry events.

Work Environment
This position is primarily remote and field-based, requiring frequent travel to customer locations, manufacturing facilities, industry events, and NCC offices as needed. Exposure to manufacturing and industrial environments may occur during customer visits and project reviews.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 50% travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Overnight travel required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to travel by air and ground transportation as needed.
