Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Digital/RF Technician to join their fast-paced Engineering and Test team in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will be supporting a wide variety of tasks in the day-to-day operation within a Engineering Lab.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment: conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks: makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
  • Familiar with setup, calibration, and use of Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzer, and/or Power Meters.
  • Familiar with work related database tracking applications 
  • Collaborate with all functional groups on various projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and explain defects found-clearly and concisely.
  • Must be willing to work off shifts as required by the needs of the business.
  • Individual who has initiative, motivation and desire to learn and grow.

Required Skills and Education

  • Must be able to obtain a US Secret security clearance
  • Associates Degree in EET or equivalent and 5+ years of directly related experience 
  • Electronics certification from a civilian or military technical school
  • Strong desktop application/GUI knowledge (Putty, Hyper, SSH, etc.)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows based programs
  • Understands lab safety, ESD principles and day to day operations.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Possess a current Secret Clearance
  • 10+ years electronics experience with electrical hardware testing 
  • Electronics certification from a civilian or military technical school
  • Strong desk stop application/GUI knowledge (Putty, Hyper, SSH, etc.)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows based programs
  • Familiarity with labs and day to day operations

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
