Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician V to join their fast-paced Engineering and Test team in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will be supporting a wide variety of tasks in the day-to-day operation within a Engineering Lab.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to fabricate, assemble, and test mechanical equipment and systems
- Read and understand written and verbal instructions from engineers, supervisors, and other stakeholders
- Use various tools and equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, to fabricate and assemble mechanical components
- Conduct tests and inspections to ensure that equipment and systems meet specifications and are functioning properly
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems as needed
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and maintenance activities
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Required Skills and Education
- The ability to obtain a DoD Security clearance is required
- 15+ years experience with HS Diploma
- 5+ year with AA in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent
- Proficient using CREO/Pro- Engineer software
- Proficient with multi axis CNC milling machines and lathes
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Preferred Skills and Education
- Familiarity with machine shop environment
- Experience in the design and development of specialized tooling and fixtures

Typically a High School Diploma and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
