Job Description

This position will reside in the GPS organization and will be the primary support to the ESS thermal chambers for both production and engineering assets.  The role will include troubleshooting and repair of the refrigeration, controls and mechanical aspects of the ESS chamber hardware.  Controller upgrades, thermal profiling assistance, equipment capability studies and roadmap planning for future purchases will also fall under this role.  This individual will hold an EPA certification for handling refrigerants required for this hardware and will assist in gathering data for EPA reporting requirements.  This individual may be responsible to work closely with the design and production support engineers to validate the HW is performing in the approved manner for all ESS HW systems.

Required Skills and Education

  • Requires refrigeration certification 
  • Experience in service and repair of thermotron ESS chambers.
  • Experience in tracking and reporting refrigerant use
  • Capable to obtain a security clearance if asked
  • Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot complex refrig/electrical/mechanical systems to find root cause of malfunctioning chamber system

Typical Education and Experience

Typically a High School Diploma and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
