The Technician Quality Control for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics performs laboratory analyses, identifies and solves problems to provide efficient and accurate reporting of results. This position involves performing daily operation of hematology systems and testing of blood derived material and/or reagents ensuring required specifications are met per laboratory standard operating procedures.. Ability to multitask, possesses interpersonal skills, ability to adjust to change, good communication and writing skills, analytical skills, problem solving skills. Ensures compliance to all FDA QSR/cGMP, ISO, and Quality Policies of Beckman Coulter. Other responsibilities include investigating and troubleshooting functionality and performance problems. May also be assigned other tasks and responsibilities as backup for Lab Coordinator, as necessary.
This position is part of the Hematology Quality Control department (HQC) located in Hialeah and will be fully on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Hematology Quality Control team and report to the Supervisor of Hematology Controls responsible for providing accurate testing, optimization of raw materials, quality control and assay value assignment testing. This is a first shift position with the days/hours being Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and implement testing
Execute and monitor on-site equipment, perform and tools calibration & investigate and troubleshoot functionality and performance problems.
Support business and customer needs designated as the backup for the Lab Coordinator.
The essential requirements of the job include:
AS Degree with 1+ years of experience in Medical Technology
Experience with quality control, quality assurance, calibration, and reagent testing.
Must have general knowledge of computers and system automation.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Process improvements
OTD process
System validation, compliance, and regulation requirements
At least one year as a medical laboratory technician
The hourly range for this role is $30-$32. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
