Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide basic laboratory test analyses, inventory & prepare lab supplies, maintain (verify, calibrate, maintain) laboratory equipment
  • Perform test method evaluations
  • Perform QC tests on raw material, in-process, finished product samples and wastewater samples brought to the lab per SOP’s and sample testing plans
  • Complete associated documentation
  • Perform verification, calibration and preventive maintenance in accordance with schedules identified in ISO
  • Assist and participate in the EHSQ Management System (e.g., nonconformance, TVP, audits, inventory,
  • Possible Instrumentation that would be good to have Instrumentation (e.g., GC, HPLC, GC/MS, AA, Rheometer, IR) ​

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Basic experience of simple office / operational systems.
  • Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
  • Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
  • Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
