Position Summary
As an Electronics Service Technician I, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of mission-critical communication equipment. This position is ideal for technicians who thrive in a hands-on environment and enjoy applying advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques. You'll work alongside a team to support our products' lifecycle and uphold the high standards expected in public safety communications.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Strong understanding of RF theory with analog and digital electronics
• Proficiency in soldering and reworking PCBs at component level a plus
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office required
• Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets, and service manuals
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members and customers required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Confidentiality and Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Requirements
Qualifications
• Education: High School Diploma
• ASEE or ASEET degree and/or equivalent experience a plus
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) a plus
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
Work Conditions
• Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods
• On-site role in a production environment with some exposure to RF emissions
• Requires sitting, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, lifting
• Travel between floors and office buildings may be required
• Environmental conditions: noise, vibration, oils, solvents, chemicals
• Safety protocols and PPE provided as needed
