Job Overview:

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to pass a MIG and TIG weld test. Certification preferred but not required.
  • Fabricate complex custom products per print, sample, and/or verbal instruction.
  • Fabricate and install new equipment
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
  • Troubleshoot equipment; isolate cause of problem
  • Utilize safe work habits
  • Wear appropriate PPE
  • Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Work on assigned projects
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to read pressure gauges
  • Ability to read blueprints and write and effectively communicate regarding technical specifications
  • Ability to work overtime and shift work as required
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Use measuring tape, calipers, hand grinder, level, and other common tools and instruments
  • Welding knowledge
  • Familiarity with basic mechanical and electrical work including using pipe threader and conduit bender.
  • Use MIG and TIG welders and set up for different materials.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good vision required for safe operation of forklift
  • Standing up to 12 hours daily
  • Walking up to 12 hours daily
  • Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
  • Assist where and when needed as required
  • Utilize recommended safe work habits and make use of all safety equipment provided
  • Assist with OJT (On Job Training) employees as needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with MIG and TIG Welding
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Background in fabrication and mechanical applications
  • Forklift driving experience, preferred
  • Dependability/Attendance 
  • Problem Solving/Judgement 
  • Thoroughness and Attention to Detail 
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
  • Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations 

Pay Range

  • $26.78 - 32.38
