We are seeking a Sales Engineer to drive revenue growth by applying technical expertise to support the sale of Photronics’ photomask solutions to semiconductor manufacturers and OEMs. This role partners closely with customers and serves as the primary technical liaison between engineering, operations, and sales teams to translate customer requirements into practical photomask solutions. Responsibilities include presenting technical solutions, supporting contract negotiations, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, and monitoring market and customer trends to identify new business opportunities..

Location

Boise, Idaho (US). This is an on-site position supporting customers and internal manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical resource supporting sales engagements with semiconductor manufacturers and OEM customers, delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution discussions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering, operations, and procurement teams to understand device requirements, process challenges, and photomask specifications.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and program management teams to ensure successful delivery of customer solutions and alignment with internal capabilities.
  • Translate customer technical requirements into manufacturable photomask solutions that meet performance, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Support the development of technical proposals, quotations, and solution documentation while contributing technical expertise during contract negotiations.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and participation in customer reviews and technical roadmap discussions.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and program management teams to ensure successful delivery of customer solutions and alignment with internal capabilities.
  • Identify new business opportunities by monitoring market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments while supporting business development initiatives such as trade shows and key account engagements.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes)

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and mask technology preferred.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering and business audiences.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and manufacturing data to support customer solutions.
  • Engage with customer engineering teams to understand device development and technology roadmaps and align Photronics’ capabilities with future requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build trusted technical relationships.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
  • Strong presentation and technical documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with CRM systems.
  • Ability to support account growth by identifying new opportunities and aligning Photronics capabilities with customer technology roadmaps.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, photomasks, lithography, process engineering, applications engineering, or technical sales.
  • Experience supporting customers in a technical or applications role.
  • Experience working with semiconductor fabs, IDM customers, foundries, or equipment manufacturers preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Advanced degree preferred but not required.
