Job Overview:

EHC is currently looking for aTechnical Quality Specialistfor a client in the south Houston, TX area.

Responsibilities:

Product & Technical Quality:

  • Receives, reviews, verifies authenticity, and organizes MTRs for incoming raw materials and components; ensures full traceability (heat/lot/batch numbers)
  • Administers full calibration program, maintains equipment registry
  • Partner with suppliers on technical requirements and corrective actions

Supplier Quality:

  • Administer supplier qualification, approval, and performance monitoring
  • Review Certificates of Compliance (CoC), SDS, test reports
  • Support supplier audits or performance scorecards
  • Help resolve supplier-related nonconformances

Third-Party Coordination & Hosting (DNV and Others):

  • Schedule and coordinate third-party inspections, witness testing with agencies such as DNV, ABS, Lloyd's, Bureau Veritas, or other notified bodies/customer representatives
  • Prepare detailed agendas, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), notification letters, and supporting documentation (e.g., material traceability records, welder qualifications, NDT procedures) well in advance
  • Serve as primary point of contact during witness activities, including product witness points (e.g., material receiving, welding, heat treatment, NDT, hydrostatic FATs, dimensional checks)
  • Document visit outcomes, including signoffs, punch lists, and any hold points released

Non-Conformance & CAPA Administration:

  • Log, categorize, and track non-conformances (NCRs), deviations, and concessions using the company's system
  • Facilitate root cause analysis) and monitor implementation of corrective actions
  • Ensure disposition of nonconforming products follows API and customer protocols
  • Track quality KPIs (NCR rates, witness hold point resolution,) and prepare reports

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Maintain quality records and inspection logs
  • Support API Q1 or ISO 9001 or other quality system requirements (if applicable)
  • Assist during internal or external audits
  • Ensure traceability and proper documentation

You should be proficient in:

  • Quality Inspection Experience
  • Supplier Management
  • Quality Control Experience
  • Tolerance Analysis
  • ISO 9001 Certification Experience
