The Opportunity
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and efficient management of a high volume of technical projects within the packaging team. This role focuses on ensuring project visibility, resource optimization, and streamlined processes across more than 100 concurrent projects, ranging from simple new product releases to complex new die, new package, and new assembly location initiatives, through coordinating departmental or cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be an expert in project management methodologies, capable of establishing uniform reporting standards, clarifying priorities, and resolving resource conflicts to ensure successful project execution by the project engineers.
What You Will Do
· Assess new projects to understand their scope, complexity, and resource requirements.
· Assign projects to appropriate engineering resources within the packaging team.
· Establish and maintain a uniform format for project status reporting across all active projects.
· Ensure accurate and regular capture and reporting of the status for all packaging projects.
· Proactively follow up on critical tasks and milestones to keep projects on track, and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.
· Identify and help resolve resource conflicts and clarify project priorities for the team.
· Develop and implement processes to efficiently manage and track over 100 concurrent technical projects.
· Collaborate with project engineers to ensure they have the necessary support and guidance for their individual projects.
· Collaborate with project engineers to create a successful risk management environment with proactive risk escalation.
· Initiate or delegate Ishikawa (Fishbone) or 8D activities when issues are encountered.
· Monitor project deliverables and ensure that they adhere to Advanced Quality Planning requirements.
· Collaborate with project engineers for documentation/reporting per internal procedures and regulatory body requirements.
· Interface with BU, product lines for project status updates and alignments on project strategies, schedules, and resources.
What You Will Bring
· Bachelor's degree (BS) in an engineering field such as Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing multiple technical projects, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
· Demonstrated expertise in project management principles and practices.
· Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
· Excellent written and spoken English language fluency.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
· Experience with project management-specific software such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
· Knowledge and/or experience of semiconductor packaging and assembly processes.
· Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA.
