You will be the Technical Program Manager for the Forge team. Our team drives AI‑enabled, data‑centric solutions that cut costs, accelerate production, and sustain competitive advantage across Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Technical Program Manager you will be responsible for leading cross‑functional teams, partnering with high‑visibility program customers, and delivering measurable AI‑driven outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Partner directly with program customers to understand pain points, define value‑driven outcomes, and deliver measurable results (cost, labor, yield, schedule).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project execution plans, budgets, metrics, and milestone schedules.
- Coordinate data‑science, software‑engineering, and AI/ML teams to ensure seamless delivery of AI solutions.
- Assess project issues, devise resolutions, and guarantee productivity, quality, and customer‑satisfaction targets are met.
- Monitor strategy alignment, allocate resources, and adjust requirements to keep projects on track.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related field
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
• Proven experience in technical program/project management across the entire lifecycle (project ideation through closeout)
• Previous experience in a technical engineering design role for DoD programs (mechanical, systems, integration & test, electrical, etc.)
Desired skills
• Proven ability to successfully manage technical engineering teams
• Experience in software development processes and product development (e.g., Agile methodology development, DevSecOps, configuration management)
• Excellent communications, both written and formal presentations - able to translate technical concepts into business value
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Prior program management experience at Lockheed Martin or DoD programs
• Proven history of developing strong customer and cross-organizational relationships
• Previous experience with missile development and/or Air & Missile Defense systems
• Experience with AI/ML system concepts such as data ETL pipelines, data security, model evaluations, cloud/hybrid-cloud system architectures, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Product Management concepts such as product got-to-market strategies, branding and marketing basics, long-term support and maintenance
• Self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance and succeed in a highly competitive arena

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
