ABOUT US

At the heart of Gable lies a passion that transcends the conventional. We’re more than just creators of visual communications; we’re experts at creating experiences. We believe that every brand, building, and place has a unique story to tell, and our mission is to elevate the way they are seen, experienced, and remembered. We are committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members can thrive and contribute to our shared success.

As a Technical Designer at Gable, you will be instrumental in transforming initial concepts into constructible realities. We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented design professional eager to apply and grow their skills in creating precise technical drawings. Your contributions will directly bridge the gap between design innovation and efficient production, from the drawing board to the factory floor. If you're a curious problem-solver who thrives on hands-on collaboration, sees potential in every design challenge, and is passionate about optimizing manufacturing workflows through precise technical design, we want to hear from you.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Technical Designer plays a pivotal role in translating innovative conceptual designs into precise, fabrication-ready drawings, directly enabling the successful construction and manufacturing of projects. This position is central to the design and production workflow, collaborating closely with concept design, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure the accurate and cost-effective realization of complex designs.

  • Ensure design adherence to site survey information and relevant building codes.
  • Manage drawing revisions efficiently based on feedback from Project Design, Engineering, and clients.

Drawing & Documentation Standards

  • Apply expert knowledge of drafting conventions, including sheet setup, typical drawing views, dimensioning, and notation best practices.
  • Interpret and synthesize information from architectural/engineering drawing sets, design documents, and conceptual sketches.
  • Uphold and contribute to department Standards of Practice, ensuring consistency and quality in all technical designs.
  • Integrate standard manufacturing and installation guidelines into all designs, optimizing material usage and processes.
  • Conduct rigorous self-reviews and peer-reviews of design work to guarantee accuracy, quality, and strict adherence to project scope and specifications.
  • Maintain and develop Gable CAD templates and the AutoCAD block library to streamline design processes.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Actively collaborate with team members to expand collective design knowledge and foster a learning environment.
  • Continuously research and stay informed about emerging materials, fabrication methods, and technologies relevant to visual communications and custom fabrication.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, including effective time management, planning, and consistent deadline adherence.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
