BAE Systems is seeking a GEOINT Production Editor to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Operations Center. In this role, you will review, edit, format, and refine GEOINT reports, graphics, and related products to ensure accuracy, quality, consistency, and compliance with agency and Intelligence Community standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit, format, and review GEOINT products, including reports, visuals, briefing materials, and other mission-related content.
Apply strong copy-editing skills to ensure products are clear, accurate, consistent, and aligned with agency publication standards.
Collaborate with analytic authors, GEOINT Operations Officers (GOOs), Intelligence Directors (IDs), and other mission partners to support GEOINT production and dissemination.
Provide guidance on layout, grammar, formatting, design, presentation, and overall product quality.
Review maps, charts, illustrations, and other visual elements for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to standards.
Troubleshoot production issues and support timely completion of mission-critical products.
Participate in training, forums, and production support meetings to remain current on standards, tools, and best practices.
**This role requires rotating shift work in a time-sensitive operations environment.**
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of copy-editing experience, preferably with a background in graphic design.
Experience supporting high-quality, time-sensitive GEOINT or intelligence products.
Ability to conduct pre-publication quality reviews and identify gaps in product quality.
Experience reviewing and formatting reports, graphics, and visual products in accordance with established standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant production tools.
Familiarity with NGA production tools and systems, including ICPS and SharePoint.
Ability to verify classifications, identify sourcing issues, and provide classification guidance.
Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing mission requirements.
Willingness to support crisis work, special assignments, and ad hoc mission needs.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in copy editing, communications, graphic design, or a related field.
Familiarity with the Intelligence Community (IC).
