POSITION SUMMARY
The Lab Tech is responsible for completing annual revalidations, and dimensional layouts for the PPAP team and internal Quality. Understanding the basics of control plans, Cpk/Ppk, capability studies, blueprint reading, customer specific request, and dimensional layouts is preferred. Willing to learn gage calibration and tracking process and basic CMM technician layouts. MUST have prior experience handling different gages, examples- Calipers, Micrometers, Hardness Tester, comparators, force testers, and more. Responsibly and effectively communicate with Internal ASPC Teams (Program Managers, Lab, and Quality Engineers)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Basic knowledge of measurement gages – calipers, micrometers, hardness tester, comparators, force testers, go/no go gages, and more
- Completes all aspects of PPAP elements including dimensional layouts, Gage R&R’s, and capability studies
- Performs Layouts for PPAP Annual Revalidations and internal quality as required
- Requires knowledge of the company quality management system, as well as contractual quality requirements, which vary from customer to customer
- Responsibly and effectively communicate with Internal ASPC Teams (Program Managers, Lab, and Quality Engineers)
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing AIAG standard publications, customer quality manuals, and additional customer-specific requirements (CSR)
- Set up and manage cycle testing for annual validation of compression, extension, and torsion springs
- Contributes to team success by accomplishing related results through the meeting of deadlines
- Work efficiently with Plex and Microsoft Office
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic PC competency to include Plex, MS Office and internet.
• able to use and understand measuring gauges.
