Job Overview:

Detailed Description:

  • Perform minor preventative maintenance on machinery to support efficient operations.
  • Assist with maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and shop equipment.
  • Install lights, shelving, workstations, and other facility-related items as needed.
  • Maintain accurate forklift logs and support safe equipment operation.
  • Obtain forklift certification and operate equipment safely when required.
  • Move furniture, equipment, and materials as needed across the facility.
  • Ensure work areas and shop floors are clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
  • Follow all procedures in accordance with documentation, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) policies, and quality standards.
  • Perform additional maintenance tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrate accountability in completing assigned maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain awareness of workplace safety practices and proper equipment handling.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and company policies with attention to detail. 
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on, physical tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Ability to manage multiple small tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts or willingness to become certified.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 0–1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, or a related hands-on role.
  • Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and physical tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior exposure to industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.

 

Additional Details:

The Maintenance Technician I must prioritize personal safety and the safety of others at all times. Work is performed primarily in a shop or industrial environment and may involve physical labor, including lifting, standing, and operating tools or equipment for extended periods. Occasional exposure to machinery and facility systems is expected.
