Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mesa, AZ. In this role, you will be responsible for leading DO-254 documentation planning, development, and compliance execution for hardware in multidiscipline defense training solutions. Partners with other teams to ensure rigorous requirements, design assurance, verification, traceability, configuration management, and certification readiness aligned to DO-254 and related aerospace/defense standards.. Responsibilities

  • DO-254 Leadership: Lead the planning and development of technical design. Manage Design Assurance Levels (DAL) across hardware lifecycles.
  • Author white papers, test plans, technical documentation and test reports.
  • Preferred skillset in 3d Modeling, mechanical design and structural analyses.
  • Work with project specific systems engineering to understand and maintain customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
  • Proven understanding of MIL and DO STDs.
  • Ability to work in a team and gather information required for technical documentation.
  • Understands data input/output requirements and equipment requirements.
  • Preferred skillset in 3d Modeling, mechanical design and structural analyses.
  • Broad knowledge of engineering systems including digital and analog electronics, and mechanics.
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot circuits if needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Able to speak comfortably with management, program managers and directors, and clients.
  • Military service or government contract experience preferred.
  • Willing and able to travel both in and outside US.
  • Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance required.
