Job Description

Role Purpose

Fabrication of chemical feed equipment, including pipe fitting – including using PVC, CPVC and stainless steel pipe – structural support, machining and assembly as required and directed by the project scope, ensuring manufacturing accuracy against drawings or blueprints.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Bring inaccuracies or problems with drawings to the attention of the foreman.
• Build fluid control systems out of piping by following design.
• Functional testing of completed systems.
• Maintain personal inventory and condition of tools.
• Confirm pulled parts with Bills of Material and report failed parts.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

Minimal Qualifications,

Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Working Experience –

Nature and Length

• One-year manufacturing work experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: welding, machinist, home improvement tasks, plumbing.

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read a tape measurer.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and skill in use of hand tools.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Work independently and with others.
• Able to work overtime as required.
• Mathematical skills- including addition and subtraction of fractions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to analyze mechanical and electro/mechanical system failures and to work with schematic drawings.
• Must be able to pass in-house forklift certification.
• Constant physical movement (standing bending, kneeling, stretching) in order to handle all functions of position.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
