Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Systems Analyst I to support critical technology used in education, research. In this role, you will build foundational skills in endpoint management, infrastructure support, and enterprise IT operations while helping maintain the systems and devices that keep the college running smoothly.
You will work closely with Systems Analysts and IT staff within the CVM IT team while collaborating with central IT partners across the university. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who enjoys hands on work, problem solving, and growing their technical skillset in a mission driven environment. Your work will directly support the technology used by veterinary students, faculty, and clinicians in teaching, research, and patient care.
What you’ll do
Support Windows and Apple infrastructure and endpoint management systems, including MECM and JAMF, to ensure stability and performance across faculty, staff, student, and research environments Provide desktop and device support across the college, including contributing to the student one to one device program and maintaining hardware and software inventory Assist with system monitoring, software updates, and operating system migrations, partnering with senior IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues Participate in system testing, process improvement, and creation of standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and user experience Collaborate with CVM IT team members, student employees, and central IT partners while contributing to committees and technology initiatives across the university

Information Technology Services within the College of Veterinary Medicine supports teaching, clinical services, and research across the college. The team partners with faculty, staff, and students to deliver reliable, secure, and user focused technology solutions that enable student success, support clinical operations, and advance research in veterinary medicine.
