The Work
This position supports the Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in Moorestown NJ. This site is responsible for Weapon Systems installation, operation, maintenance, repair and upgrade in support of the Aegis system.

This position entails becoming knowledgeable in U.S. Navy Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) performance specifications and characteristics as well as the operation and maintenance of all Aegis Combat Systems equipment at CSEDS. These systems include Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), Underwater Weapon Systems (UWS), Vertical Launch System (VLS), Surface Search and Horizon Search Radar Systems and Ring Laser Gyro Navigation (RLGN) system.
On a day to day basis responsibilities include:
• Working in a team environment, responding to system testing requirements and directing technical activities.
• More specifically, providing solutions to technical problems of significant scope and complexity that will contribute to the completion of specific Aegis baseline programs and projects.
• Performing baseline computer program integration.
• Development and testing of requirements related to these systems.

Basic Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering or STEM field with minimum of 2 years experience OR minimum 4 years of Military related experience in lieu of degree
• Experience with US Navy Aegis Combat/Weapon Systems
• Knowledgeable in U.S. Navy shipboard combat system element performance, specifications and characteristics
• Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship required

Desired skills

• Knowledge/experience with Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) and/or Mk41 Vertical Launch Systems (VLS)
• Experience working with US Navy customers
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux based operating systems and networks
• Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation
• Additionally, candidate must have excellent oral and written communication, technical writing, and planning/organizational skills

Ability to work remotely

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
