Job Title: Swiss Set-Up Machinist

Location: Berlin Heights, OH

Job Type: Full-Time | 1st Shift

🔧 About the Role:

A precision machining facility located in Berlin Heights, OH is seeking a skilled Swiss Set-Up Machinist to join its growing team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented machinist with hands-on experience setting up and operating Swiss CNC lathes in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume production environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Swiss CNC turning centers (Citizen, Star, or equivalent)

• Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings

• Select tooling, set tool offsets, and perform machine adjustments

• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.)

• Perform minor program edits and ensure optimal machine cycle times

• Troubleshoot issues related to part dimensions, tooling, and machine operation

• Maintain documentation for quality control and process records

• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve manufacturing efficiency

• Follow all safety and quality standards

✅ Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with Swiss CNC machine set-up and operation

• Strong knowledge of G&M code and blueprint reading

• Ability to use inspection tools and interpret GD&T

• Mechanical aptitude and solid problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Experience with multi-axis machines is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus
