Swiss CNC Operator
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Swiss-style CNC lathes, maintaining high-quality standards, and producing precision-machined components in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate Swiss CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Monitor machine performance and make tool wear offsets as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Load raw materials and ensure proper tooling is installed.
- Troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work closely with quality, engineering, and production teams to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of Swiss CNC operating experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Swiss-style lathes such as Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other inspection equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining production goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Setup experience is a plus.
- Experience with medical, aerospace, or high-precision components.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and editing is beneficial. but not required
