Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) is looking to staff a Suspended Material Area (SMA) Manager for our McKinney, TX facility and the Expressway Sites. The two suspended material areas hold all incoming material that has been deemed noncompliant until a disposition can be made. It is critical that noncompliant material is not consumed or delivered to the customer.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Supervision of five non-exempt employees (4 at our McKinney, TX facility, and 1 at the Expressway Site).
• Support daily and weekly status meetings with the status of critical material.
• Point of contact for the program requests such as expedites or updating status.

U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will require the ability to access U.S. only data systems.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Effectively utilizes standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
• Experience producing effective presentations of project plans, status, issues and actions
• Ability to coordinate with Program personnel & Incoming Inspection on disposition of nonconforming material provided by suppliers
• Possess interpersonal skills that support broad influence and interaction with suppliers, engineering personnel and managers
• High energy, self – starter with ability to perform work under general direction.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of SAP/PRISM
• Knowledge of Business and Management Principles and Practices
• Knowledge of Specification and Requirements Management Practices
• Knowledge of Six Sigma
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

Education
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or; an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
