Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surface Grinder / Machinist for a precision machining facility in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

The ideal candidate has experience operating surface grinding equipment, machining steel components, reading blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surface grinding machines.

• Grind steel plates, tooling components, and precision-machined parts.

• Read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications.

• Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.

• Perform machine setups, adjustments, and basic maintenance.

• Ensure finished parts meet quality and dimensional requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with surface grinding or machining.

• Ability to read blueprints and work with tight tolerances.

• Experience using precision measuring equipment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently.
