Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner (SCP) is the focal point for all supply chain activities. This planner position will be a dual role, being in direct support of manufacturing efforts associated with New Product Introduction in support of Engineering Use Only (EUO) and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) efforts, as well as supplementing our Purchase Card Planner/Buyer in acquiring material for Engineering efforts. The planner will develop and implement production strategies for assigned programs, collaborating with factory teams to ensure successful execution. The planner monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. The Planner will work with Engineering teams as they develop their Bill of Material (BOM), and purchase the required material using our company Purchase Card Process.
The Supply Chain Planner (SCP) optimizes how supply chain management interfaces with manufacturing systems. SCP will plan, prepare, issue and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule. Planner will support risk management activities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams. The planner ensures that shipments are accomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments. SCP will utilize system and process tools to achieve program / functional goals

Typical Education and Experience

Typically a High School Diploma and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • High school diploma and 4 years of experience
  • ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systems
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
  • Inventory / stockroom management
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
  • Ability to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory team
  • Problem solving skills
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
