Responsibilities
Plan production for all product lines while ensuring efficient use of plant capacity
Ensure timely delivery of sales orders and expedite merchandise when needed
Manage inventory of products, raw materials, finished goods, and resale items
Maintain control of WIP (Work in Progress) and finished goods inventory
Ensure production personnel have necessary resources
Develop and present reports and forecasts as required
Actively participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) team
Assist the Plant Manager as needed
Achieve objectives in the areas of:
Safety
Quality
Customer service
Cost control
Employee involvement
Housekeeping
Property conservation
Comply with all Federal, State, Local, and Company health, safety, and environmental regulations
Champion and maintain the FIFO (First-In-First-Out) process
Conduct monthly coaching sessions with direct reports
Direct, plan, and coordinate production activities
Establish production priorities based on product requirements and operational cost factors
Utilize knowledge of product technology, production methods, equipment, and procedures
Collaborate with management to implement company policies and goals
Set production and quality control standards
Develop budgets and implement cost controls
Obtain and analyze data on types, quantities, specs, and delivery timelines of ordered products
Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 10 years of applicable industrial experience
Certification in APICS, ASCM, or DDI
Fundamental knowledge of:
Alkegen’s products and raw materials
Manufacturing processes and objectives
MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
Use of personal computers
Proficient in Adaptive Coaching skills: listening, asking, and responding
