Are you an experienced Purchaser and Scheduler with the ability to provide hands on guidance in the manufacturing field developing production paperwork and finding efficiencies through lean practices? If so, you’re what we need!

You will oversee plant logistics; purchasing; scheduling and production paperwork; to ensure all key performance indicators (KPI’s) are identified, structured, and addressed. You must have a solid understanding of Collaborative Planning and Forecasting (CPFR), Financial Forecasting, Inventory Management, and Customer Service

Responsibilities

  • Drives corporate culture that focuses on facts, tangible results, and behaviors.
  • Produces products by establishing production planning systems; maintains good manufacturing practices, enforces quality standards, improves products and processes.
  • Interfaces closely with Plant Manager and Production Manager to effectively develop purchasing and logistical systems, inventory, and production control requirements.
  • Achieves financial objectives by establishing objectives; developing budgets; controlling costs, maximizing use of available assets
  • Provide updated pricing for quoting
  • Creates and executes inventory strategies demonstrating impact on working capital and profit/margin optimization preferred
  • Coordinates of all production orders delivered to production shop floor (Includes all primary and secondary operations)
  • Processes stock orders and date production base on department capacity – Communicate issues with operations
  • Coordinates remake items and communicate information to the floor
  • Works with production & shipping to ensure all orders are scheduled for delivery in a timely manner
  • Full coordination with customer service and plant management on all issues relating to product scheduling for production.
  • Responsible for matching invoicing with purchase orders
  • Maintains relationships with key vendors utilizing scorecards
  • Oversees the logistics of the Plant including but not limited to freight claims; shipping and receiving.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Competent PC skills (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • Degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to document, review and analyze workflow processes, company policies, and legal requirements to be able to help establish, train and maintain new improved processes.
  • Experience with FoxPro is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of FSC for purchasing supplies
  • Kanban stocking system experience considered an asset

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, computer science, industrial engineering considered an asset.
  • Minimum college diploma in technical/engineering required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of related experience in Manufacturing related experience preferred.
