We are seeking a results-driven, hands-on Supply Chain Manager to lead our purchasing and import logistics functions — ensuring timely material availability and continuous improvement in supply chain processes.

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the purchasing and import logistics functions for US Valve & Champion Valve and work closely with the Performance Pneumatics sourcing & supply chain teams. Working cross-functionally with Production and Finance, the Supply Chain Manager ensures on-time delivery, accurate inventory accounting, and continuous process improvements. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead overall purchasing, scheduling and related logistics functions.
  • Evaluate raw materials requirements with planner, management, and MRP systems.
  • Manage logistics to ensure timely product deliveries to customers.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to optimize inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping operations.
  • Partner with the commercial team to set inventory levels aligned with sales forecasts.
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement countermeasures to improve part availability, prevent stockouts, and accelerate backlog execution.
  • Deepen 80/20 principles within the organization through Plan for Every Part (PFEP) analysis.
  • Lead the SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process.
  • Own and maintain supplier data masters in JD Edwards, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Track and expedite deliveries; resolve discrepancies by comparing purchase orders and receipts.
  • Participate in periodic physical inventories.
  • Address defective goods issues in collaboration with Quality, vendors, and users to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Ensure import compliance, including adherence to applicable trade regulations.

Measures of Success

  • Achieves or exceeds target inventory turns through optimized planning and procurement.
  • Increases supplier on-time delivery and quality performance (≥95% OTD, <1% defects).
  • Reduces supply chain complexity through 80/20 initiatives.
  • Delivers annual material cost productivity of ≥2% through negotiations, sourcing, or process improvements in collaboration with sourcing.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages a buyer/planner.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or other relevant degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Materials Management roles
  • History of supply chain performance improvement in a low-volume, high-mix, manufacturing business
  • Experience in international sourcing and logistics, experience with Asian suppliers is a plus.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $107,100.00 - $160,700.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
