SUMMARY:
Manages the different aspects of the supply chain including: sourcing, purchasing, transport, scheduling, warehousing and distribution. Work closely with suppliers and customers to improve operations and reduce costs.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in engineering, business or related field. Five+ years of supply chain or production management in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. An APICS certificate is a plus. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Capable of effective written communication with customers and senior management. Ability to present information to executive groups, customers, employees and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Assertive self-starter who is able to motivate others. Understanding of good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives/programs. Familiarity with engineered resins in an extrusion/assembly-processing environment.
Strong understanding of ERP (IQMS) and other manufacturing scheduling computer systems. Leadership skills and be able to develop, foster and maintain a team-oriented work environment. Able to read and interpret blueprints for manufactured parts and extrusion equipment and tooling. Drive safety results for safety KPI’s through participation in safety steering committee meetings, risk assessment auditing, 6S auditing, and daily meetings focused on employee safety. 10-hour OSHA certification is desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work with computer hardware including cursor navigation and multiple monitors. The noise level in the work environment has been monitored and data supports the Glens Falls site is operating at well less than the OSHA permissible exposure limit. Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
