InCord has an opening for a detailed-oriented Supply Chain Manager. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of the International Supply Chain within a fast-paced safety net manufacturing environment. This role oversees shipping, receiving, purchasing, inventory control, and material handling to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products from suppliers to production, and ultimately to our customers. The Supply Chain Manager drives cost-effectiveness, accuracy, and service excellence, ensuring that supply chain operations align with production goals and customer expectations.

Requirements

Purchasing

  • Maintaining inventory stock projections min/max/reorder points in ERP and collaborating with COO on forecasting for future demand.
  • Managing all current foreign & domestic suppliers, including negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize spending; Travel as required to key vendors.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers for cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Manage purchasing agent activities including ordering all materials and supplies from sourcing to invoicing.
  • Managing ISO vendor files including vendor compliance and corrective action, product reporting, vendor scorecards, and questionnaires.
  • Analyzing global markets for commodities that affect supply chain and profitability; Strategic sourcing and planning of materials. 
  • Work with COO to maintain accuracy with vendor information, standard cost, and unit of measure.
  • Provide sales with quotes and lead times on products as needed.

Shipping

  • Oversee all inbound/outbound shipments, including container schedule for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. 
  • Manage carrier and customs broker relationships to optimize transit time and cost.
  • Ensure all documentation, labeling, and packaging meets regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Resolve shipping errors, damages, and customer delivery issues as needed.

Receiving

  • Oversee inbound shipments and receiving processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee verification of materials and products against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Work with purchasing and technical services departments to handle discrepancies, non-conformances, or damaged goods.
  • Maintain accurate receiving documentation and ERP entries.

Inventory

  • Maintain proper inventory levels to support production and customer demand; Ensure Inventory program meets company objectives and on time delivery standards.      
  • Oversee cycle counts and stock accuracy initiatives; Provide guidance and outline to staff on scheduling and frequencies of cycle counts.
  • Communicating with production managers on necessary stock levels and any discrepancies that need to be addressed (waste, allocation discrepancies, adjustments) to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Provide operations with updates on inventory stockouts. 
  • Work in conjunction with COO to maintain accuracy of data in CRM and ERP systems; Optimize ERP use for planning and reporting.
  • Work in conjunction with COO to monitor and reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory; Quarterly overstock reports, annual obsolete inventory reports.
  • Maintain 3% scrap and adjustment rate for all materials. 
  • Maintain average inventory to sales ratio of 10.

Warehousing/Material Handling

  • Managing inventory distribution to all production facilities. 
  • Responsible for optimizing and planning of warehouse requirements. 
  • Oversee safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facilities; Enforce workplace safety practices for forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Train staff on material handling best practices to minimize damage and maximize efficiency.

General Requirements

  • Lead, coach, and develop supply chain team members across purchasing, logistics, warehouse, and materials handling.
  • Align supply chain strategies with company objectives for efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
  • Report KPIs across all functions and regularly report performance to leadership.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean/Continuous Improvement practices.
  • Uphold safe work practices in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Follow company procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Responsible for working on special projects as necessary. This includes providing support to establish new systems, any      organizational requirements, and updating records.
  • Other related and/or assigned tasks as required by COO.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing supply chain, logistics, materials management or similar field, including supervisory/managerial responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources). 
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, MS Office Suite, and supply chain best practices.
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-driven with focus on efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Critical/strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability. 
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills; good written and verbal English.

Working Conditions

  •  40 Hour Week / 5 Days in Colchester Offices 
  • Overtime when required
  • Some travel may be required
