PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Develop and continuously improve the plan and execution of material and information flow by utilizing efficient processes and available capacities and resources in order to meet customer demand, enhance material flow and optimize inventory. Ensure compliance to policies, standards, and governance of supply chain processes (including DES). Execute divisional supply chain strategy. Act as a key member of the site Leadership Team, providing business support and strategic direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Monitoring
Contribute to budget construction and long-term strategy (3 to 5 year plan) for the site from a Supply Chain perspective. Monitor budget and expenses.
Manage and publish performance through appropriate supply chain metrics (e.g. customer/supplier DSA, inventory turns, MPS adherence, Logistics Costs, Inventory accuracy, vs. budget targets).
Activity Management
Deploy, manage, monitor, and improve planning processes within the site to:
best capture and communicate customer demand
ensure the effective use of available internal capacity/resources through an integrated planning process (SIOP, MPS, Detail Scheduling, MRP)
synchronize external resources
actively promote participation of all relevant functions in these processes
Ensure inputs to the planning processes are regularly reviewed and monitored for accuracy to support SIOP, MPS and MRP processes.
Coordinate warehouse, transportation, customs, and plant materials flow to be on time and in full at all points in the process in line with agreed plans and inventory strategy.
Ensure control and storage of inventory is in line with lean principles (e.g. visible FIFO and supermarket pull systems, Kanban loops) and cycle counting standards.
Continuously develop and manage integrated logistics network to achieve lowest cost movement of materials into and out of plants.
Coordinate and execute plant-related supply chain activities to support successful launch/phase out of new/existing supply chain.
Develop and deploy supply chain Continuous Improvement plan and projects to achieve business plan and divisional supply chain strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Formal Qualifications
Essential
Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in related field (technical or business) or equivalent
APICS CPIM certified or equivalent
Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

Practical experience in Supply Chain function
Leadership experience (preferably as a Manager)
Effective communicator
