Manages the production planning and scheduling with cooperation and coordination of other departments to achieve production, customer service, engineering project and financial goals
Oversees the procurement of all raw material, equipment, supplies, and related items to assure inventories for continuous, uninterrupted production schedules and engineering projects
Manages suppliers and 3rd party service providers including identification, selection, performance measurement, risk management, audits and communications
Oversees the Shipping and Receiving Departments to assure that all raw materials and produced product are properly received, shipped, checked, warehoused, cycle counted and rotated.
Create, review, approve, and implement plans to achieve goals for budgets and spending control, labor efficiency, material efficiency, technology improvements, and customer service goals.
Vendor management and negotiations
Actively manages working capital in alignment with the company targets
Manage and optimize inventory levels
Identify areas for continuous improvement and cost savings in the procurement of raw materials
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or other relevant field
Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Purchasing, Production Planning and Scheduling, Shipping and Receiving, Inventory Control, Transportation and Warehousing or related areas
Strong SAP knowledge and experience
Strong understanding of purchasing functions
Financial/business analysis techniques
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while able to organize data and information into clear, concise, and legible report format.
Lead and direct the work of others
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers.
Ability to multi-task and change priorities to meet customer requirements.
Assertive, takes initiative, self-starter, energetic, motivated and self-managed.
Preferred:
CPIM or CSCP
Lean or Six Sigma certifications
