Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a First-Line Industrial Engineering Manager (Level K) to support the Supply Chain Industrial Engineering (IE) team based in Everett, WA.

As an Industrial Engineering First-Line Manager in Supply Chain, you will be working closely with Operations leaders and other stakeholders as we increase production rates and improve productivity. The BCA IE team you will be leading provides a critical role in helping Operations manage the supply chain, de-risking the Boeing production system and improving processes for into the future.

Position responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing industrial engineering activities associated with technical development, implementation, analysis, and improvement activities across the supply chain.
  • Development and implementation of plans, policies, and procedures in alignment with business plans, strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Acquires and coordinates resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Everett, WA)

Basic Qualification (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations/Industrial Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in a management position with direct reports.
  • Experience with implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Experience using Systematic Problem Solving.
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience working with suppliers and strengthening external relationships.
  • Experience building an organizational talent pipeline in engineering.
  • Experience establishing partnerships relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports as well as conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of work group, project, or process goals.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities to improve work-related products and processes within own work group, project, or process, and engaging and empowering employees to make process improvements. ​

Summary Pay range: $115,600 - $156,400
