New Hudson Facades is looking for a Supply Chain Buyer – Indirect Procurement to support the purchasing of indirect materials, MRO supplies, equipment, services, and other operational needs across the business.
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring inventory and open purchase orders, and ensuring internal teams have the materials and services they need to operate effectively. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Process purchase requests and create purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers regarding delivery, pricing, and availability.
- Support inventory replenishment for stocked and frequently used indirect materials.
- Work with internal departments to understand purchasing needs, priorities, and timelines.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and assist with identifying new vendors when needed.
- Communicate potential shortages, delays, pricing concerns, and other supply risks.
- Support competitive sourcing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Resolve purchasing, receiving, pricing, and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate supplier, inventory, and purchasing data within the ERP system.
- Purchase MRO supplies, indirect materials, services, equipment, and capital-related items.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement, inventory, and supplier performance.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or a related field.
- Experience working with an ERP or purchasing system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general business software.
- Strong organization, follow-up, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and purchasing requests at once.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to evaluate pricing, delivery, availability, and supplier performance.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
- Experience purchasing MRO supplies, indirect materials, services, equipment, or capital-related items preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
