Job Description

You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer Staff for our Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team in Grand Prairie, TX, managing and supporting assigned suppliers for the GMLRS program. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of critical components and systems, implementing rigorous quality standards to guarantee excellence.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Supplier Quality Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for driving supplier quality performance, identifying trends, and ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and program management to resolve quality issues and improve overall quality performance, ultimately contributing to the success of the GMLRS program.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Managing and supporting assigned suppliers to ensure quality performance and implement quality process controls
-Identifying data trends and monitoring supplier processes to drive corrective and preventive actions
-Providing internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions
-Interfacing with suppliers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Product Line Teams (PLTs), production sites, customers, and program management
-Supporting Material Review Boards (MRBs) and Failure Review Boards (FRBs) to disposition non-conforming hardware
-Conducting scheduled product source inspections, first article inspections, and surveillance assessments
-Ensuring supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified
-Driving continuous improvement and mentoring/training Quality individuals supporting the GMLRS program

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

- STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above and/or equivalent experience/combined education.

- Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

- Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements or PPAP AS9100 interpretation and application experience.

-Thorough knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO) and aerospace (AS).

- Experience implementing Material Review Boards, Failure Review Boards, and dispositioning non-conformances.

- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products.

- Experience in making risk-based data driven decisions.

-Advanced understanding and experience completing root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

- Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques for Quality or Manufacturing.

- Knowledge of Configuration Management and Control processes.

- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

- Demonstrated presentation skills.

- Ability to travel 20%-50%, including to various domestic production and supplier locations.

-Excellent Government customer interface and satisfaction skills

-Effective Communication Skills - Ability to clearly, concisely communicate (oral and written) to stakeholders on technical complex topics as well as Quality issues.

-Ability to be a team lead and mentor

-Ability to Build Effective Relationships

Desired skills

- STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above preferred.

- Experience with Machine Shop, Mechanical Assembly, Tooling / Gages / Fixtures, and Mechanical Inspection.

- Experience with Propulsion, Chemicals, or Energetics.

-Experience with Composites.

- Experience with SAP, Apriso, Procure to Pay (P2P), & Ariba.

- Experience or knowledge of special processes and associated specification requirements.

- Prior experience working at MFC and LM's supply base.

- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications and/ or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

-Lean/ Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

-Experience with Process Engineering

- Expert in Geometric, Dimension, & Tolerancing (GD&T)

- Extensive technical knowledge and experience in the area of Supplier Quality.

- Experience with providing technical liaison support related to design and quality engineering matters.

- Understanding of test equipment, interpreting test results.

-Experience with Production Line Validations, Gage R&R, Measurement System Analysis, Process Capability Analysis

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
