Job Description
This position is part of the LM Aero Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team, within the LM Aero Quality & Mission Success organization and reports to SQM Operations Manager.
This position is for an Advanced Quality Engineer working various SQM initiatives to drive the supply base to Zero Defects. As a member of the AQ Team, the candidate will partially function as a technical advisor within SQM teams across the product life cycle of multiple programs, technology domains, and multiple organizations to assure compliance to policies and quality/engineering requirements. Responsible and accountable for initiating effective methods and improvements that drive down defects, improve field SQE competencies, drive standardization and collaborate effectively with various functions and leaders.
• Advanced Quality Methods: Proficient in applying and leading implementation of Six Sigma, FMEA, RCCA and other advanced quality tools.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution
• Leadership: Experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve quality objectives.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and regulations.
The selected candidate will be accountable for collaborating with various functions (both internally and externally) to solve technical and contractual issues, and ensuring execution is aligned with the quality and affordability goals set by the LM Aero programs.
This position may require at least 75-80% travel.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a technical / STEM field
- Experience in Quality Assurance.
- Root Cause Corrective Action Expertise
- Experience with Project Management.
- Experience developing performance improvements plans, i.e. one of the following: return-to-green plans, zero-defect plans, excellence plans.
- Experience interacting with at least one of the following stakeholders: Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Government Customer Representatives.
Desired skills
- Demonstrated process knowledge and implementation of product quality engineering competencies including product hardware knowledge
- Familiar with Quality Systems specifically AS9100, ISO 9001:2008, AS9103, AS9102
- Ability to ID risks/opportunities and apply Lean and Six Sigma tools appropriately including performing root cause analysis and driving effective corrective action
- Green Belt Certification and/or related Technical Background/Experience with Progress toward Black Belt. Facilitation experience, Lean/Sigma practical experience
- Demonstrated ability to handle a large amount of responsibility and demonstrated effective implementation and execution.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office toolset with specific focus on MS Excel data.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
- Process Mapping skills
- Demonstrated Presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build consensus, shape/influence opinion and articulate the future state.

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $112,800 - $216,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
