Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a position based in Orlando, FL.

The position requires quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
• Supports Supplier and Production Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformances.
• Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to complex.
• Attends and leads program corrective action meetings, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution, and ensures responsible parties meet commitments.
• Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
• Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO9001 / AS9100.
• Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues.
• Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above

• Must have ability to obtain a security clearance

• Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products

• Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instructions and/or PO notes

• Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex

• Experience in dispositioning of non-conforming products

• Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement

• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)

• Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc

• Ability to travel 25% to 50% of time

• Demonstrated presentation skills

• Active Secret Security Clearance

•Lean / Six Sigma Certification (Green / Black Belt)

•Experience working with suppliers in dynamic environment

•ASQ Certification: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

•SAP Application Experience

•Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

•Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems

•Experience working with Government Customers

•Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, technical writing

•Effective Interpersonal skills including team building and collaboration

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $64,400 - $123,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
